Excellent FREE software. Takes a minute to install and about 10/15 minutes (depending on hard drive sizes) to scan. Google 'spybot search & destroy' and as mentioned above DO NOT BE FOOLED INTO PAYING FOR IT but as with this site you can make a donation if you wish.

I use "spybot" - its quite good at getting rid of the extra toolbars that seem to get collected from time to time as well as the more nasty stuff. its spybot dot net, and don't be fooled into paying for something similar - this is free, but they do accept donations.

I had the blue word problem and strangely it was linked with Babylon and constantly being chucked out of the Beekeepers Arms. Cured the door problem by converting to google chrome, on the advice of polyhive.

The only way I could get rid of the Babylon Tool Bar was to surrender my laptop to our tame Geek at work, who I suspect is really a Grand Master of the Mystic Arts.

Everything works a treat now, sadly no free I phone though.

That’s interesting a tool bar did appear the other day and I have been struggling to get rid of it.

I will run spybot s&d tomorrow when back at work to see if that shifts it.

Check in your Task Manager to see if anything's running that shouldn't be. If you see a programme you don't recognise check the name online and then, if it's a wrong-un, disable it, and see if you still have the problem.

Mysteriously have what was apparently called The Community Tool Bar appear on your computer and you will then be presented with many chances to win an I Phone.

Managed to remove said bar this morning all the links have now disappeared
