I have moved a colony from an old bell into a hive, rubber-banding the existing comb into the frames (long story). I don't think that the odds of my getting the queen alive from the bell into the hive are particularly high, it was a messy job.

There are now eggs in the cells, and a couple of (capped) swarm/supercedure/emergency queen cells, i.e. out of the middle of the comb.

So, I am either A: a competent beekeeper, who got the queen out alive and they're going through a swarm impulse, or B: a clumsy herbert who has carried dead eggs from one container to another or C: something else.

The timeline is, 28MAY18 moved the colony, 07JUN18 no eggs, clean frame of brood inserted from another colony, 13JUN18 four frames of brood, eggs seen on a number of frames.

Any suggestions?
