width of groove for foundations?

Anyone know off top of their head. 1/8" seems a bit wide. Gonna make up a batch of frames to save a few pennies

Have a load of scrap around when set up can run a load won't take too long 30 years joinery☺

If it was me I wouldn't go any smaller and even slightly wider would work better than thinner.

If you really want to save time and money consider foundationless and you can then make very simple frames.
