Hi Millet,
What a good girl you have got there she ASed herself - better breed from her. Tomorrow early evening when all the bees are in you can move the nuc to new location next to hive you plan to unite with. From an orientation point of view there is not a problem with an early caught swarm, but keep QX on.
Please, please make sure you only leave one QC in the other hives. The one with the bricks on which I understand to be the parent hive was very lively the other day as per photo.

The flying bees will go back to where they used to live.
How far from the nuc is the brood box you want to move?
Or....you could leave the queen where she is, give her a frame of stores and that frame of sealed brood and let the full sized hive raise their own queen from one QC you choose

The nuc is around 50 yards from the brood box i want to move.

I,m a bit confused or maybe you are Erica as i'm rubbish at explaining things via keyboard.

The old hive i took the queen from has one sealed queen cell that should have hatched today that is not a problem.

The new hive that i put the old queen in (that she swarmed from for the nuc) has 2 queen cells of different ages and two frames of brood and food, the rest of the brood body has undrawn foundation.
What i would like to do is move the brood box the queen absconded from and put it beside the nuc, then remove the 2 new queen cells and put the old queen and any freshly drawn comb into that brood body.

The new hive with the queen cell that should of hatched is 3ft from where the origional queen was, so i am thinking the flying bees will beg there way into there or stay with the old brood box with the old queen.
Thank you
Steve.

The new location is the old origional location if you get my drift, and the swarm with the old queen in the nuc has been in there around 3 days.

I suspect the very lively looking hive was the old queen and confused swarm leaving the hive i put her in, in my failed attempt with a AS.

Check my repy to Erica and thank you.
Steve.

Right. I see

You AS'd the queen into an empty box by putting two frames of brood in there with her and she absconded into the nuc.
Just take away the queen cells, reunite them, and put a QX under for a few days.
You might need to borrow another brood box to put the bees with the queen in to unite unless your nuc has a removable floor.
Use just one sheet of newspaper and put the Q+ box on top

I would not mess around with those poor bees any more. You have the original queen hurrah. Do not lift the lid on her she can fly with ease at the moment, but move the box tonight off the garage roof if you wish next to the hive you would like to unite with in due course. One QC in the other hives and look out for eggs or young larvae in the parent hive where she swarmed from!

I done it today Erica just in time before a thunderstorm, the bees have been really busy in the Nuc, they was 2 frames fully drawn and they where full of eggs and stores, i will check on them in several days and take any un drawn frames from the bottom brood box and replace them with the drawn comb from the top brood box and also remove the QX.

The new hive with the one Queen cell is still full to the brim with bees and i have had to put a second super on top as the first one is nearly full, i will keep you informed.
Thank You
Steve.

Thank you but they had to be moved and i would rather do it like i have and destroy all Queen cells instead of a newly mated Queen, if this was not my first Queen in the NUC i may well have dispatched her but my lady friend would have banned me from keeping bees lol.

Wel done.

Wel done.

Well Erica i said would keep you updated.

The reunite went well, on Saturday the queen is now back in a single brood box with her little entourage back where she started from.

The new hive however is bursting at the seems with bees but i found no eggs and no Queen but the bees are piling it in, i did find the old empty Queen cell so hopefully she just needs mating when this vile weather gets better.?

Great.
Let's hope for sunny days
Scorching here

Here's hoping for good weather, on another note my lady friend was lucky not to get stung again on Saturday, she had the bee suit pulled too far down and a bee managed to get in under the waist band and up inside the veil, she thought the bee was buzzing around outside but i seen different and managed to sadly but quickly squash it.
