I've purchased from the mesh company several times - helpful friendly people - never had any sort of problem. I'm a bit on the mean side (Yorkshireman !) and I didn't think their prices were out of line - postage puts it up a bit but buy a few sheets and it makes it more reasonable. No suppliers are perfect - even the best cock up occasionally but I've hardly heard a bad word about the Mesh Company until this thread ...

:iagree:

I ordered some off them last year and they e4mailed me to say they were out of stock - the replacements they immediately sent me was better in my opinion and they threw in a few freebies as a token of good faith

I've also used the mesh company without issue.. their prices have gone up since I first ordered .. you now get 8 sheets for the same price as 10 .. generally better to buy in bulk .. never know when you might need that extra floor...

Have a look on the auction site for modelling mesh. It's aluminium and can be cut with scissors quite easily. It does flex but it's under the hive and doesn't get any stress so it should be ok.
Wish I had seen this before I bought mine. Seems perfect for my tbh project

If you are looking to save a few quid, an old spark guard for an open fire is about the right size and easy to cut with snips. You could try freegle or a car boot.

Bingo… this looks good a not expensive at all. I think this looks very similar to the USAs 'Hardware Cloth'.

Cheers thanks

I have always used the Mesh Company without any issues - delivered to N Ireland. This modelling mesh though looks good. Thank you
