Where are the Wasps ?

last year every day wasps hanging around the hive. seen 1 the whole summer so far.

Same around the UK ?

Saw one yesterday fighting on the ground with a bee from a colony that had swarming bees returning by the 100's/1000's, the wasp and bee rolled around a bit then the wasp went away.
They might be later this year, probably Autumn.

I spotted one scraping a hive for wood

May be a late wasp season - spotted a queen wasp mooching around only a few weeks ago.

Had one disappear down between two frames the other day don't know how it would of faired didn't see it again.
A few around but not many more bloody flys...

Seen very few wasps around the hives so far.
I have seen a few bumble bees enter the hive but leave very shortly thereafter!
