Why are you using it?

I have bees just south in Hereford, and friend has lots of bees in Shropshire and Staffs, and neither of us have ever seen a need in that area as there is abundant natural pollen.

Are you thinking you have a serious pollen problem? If an EXPERIENCED local mentor has advised it then fine, but if its from forum reading then beware, a lot of nonsense gets trotted out.

Where's the 'like' button :D

Must admit I never felt the need to feed pollen supplements or substitutes. There always seems to be plenty of pollen from crocus ,snowdrops catkins etc. I suppose if we have alot of cold weather where the bees are unable to fly. It mite be of benefit.
Providing a clean water source is preferable.
