I was down my out apairy this morning and there was a fresh flush of grass coming on after the field was cut for silage. Part of the field was a sea of yellow with dandalions.

Yes, same here. I think summer has arrived a month late :)

However in Newquay today Ive seen the first ivy flowers out! Eeek!

My wife (who knows much more about these things than I do...) tells me they can go through as many as five generations in a season. The bees, at least, seem happy about that.

Mixed up seasons for sure this year, I have a bush in my garden that flowered in april and has just started flowering again.

Here is shoreham airport on sunday, all the yellow is dandilion flowers. never seen it like that before.

best of all that is just 1 mile from my apiary.

wow.

We have some dandelions in August but those pics are like in Spring.
And they have bloomed long time because they make seeds.

Lovely pics. Does this mean that I have a small chance of some honey!

On a similar vein a Magnolia tree in our garden is in flower for the third time this year - is that normal?

I have a magnolia which flowers twice, but never yet had the hat-trick!
