(I'm starting early for Christmas presents!)
I would like to know, what Beeks are using to melt beeswax for candle making what opinions do folk have.
I've been using the Bain-marie method at present, and have a Big T and jug I use, but it's just slow, and not enough capacity, when I start producing 500g candles. (I do have a lot of clean and filtered beeswax!).
I've researched several options
1. wax warmer from eBay, used bay salons, these are available in single and twin versions, approx 500-600ml x 2.
see here
Twin version

Single version

The only issue with these is possible size, and these mainly used really for dipping, I'd have to pour out, maybe it gets messy. They are not too bad, a friend uses one for other purposes (not beeswax or salon, but eletronics dipping!).
2. Presto Pot Wax Melter from the US!
http://www.prestopotwaxmelter.com/
3. Soup Kettles and Warmers
http://www.nisbets.co.uk/3/Catering...ines-Soup-Kettles-and-Warmers/c02c04c04.r12.1
these have thermostats, and are cheap!
4. Commercial Catering Bain Maries
http://www.nisbets.co.uk/3/Catering...-Display-Machines-Bain-Maries/c02c04c02.r12.1
these look good, different pots, for different colours!
5. Kochstar Wax Melter 2 Stainless Steel
https://www.thorne.co.uk/index.php?...kdlLDyr1Kwtrxn_Xhz2-WgNZ1BChiBH5jyxoCM47w_wcB
This looks interesting which has a tap for wax, straight into moulds, but also it's mixing the wax with water gain.
6. Exagon Wax Melters from Germany
http://www.exagon.ch/
Ah, these could be what I need! Delivery direct from Germany, and in Euros!
Any other home brew methods, Beeks have discovered ? What I'm trying to do with one hit, is purchase what I need, and not have to purchase something, which is a waste of time, which ends up in the shed not used, and replace it with something else.
Thanks for reading.
