So I installed my nuc today and all went well. Bees were calm etc. But the spare foundation that I brought down seemed to be quite bent, bowing out in the middle. Now I fear that the installed 6 frames of foundation are also warped.

What is the best course of action here. Should I leave well alone or go back in tomorrow to swap out for new foundation?

Take the foundation out of the frame and cut a fraction off one side. Put it back in the frame and it will straighten out. Sometimes the foundation is fractionally too big for the frame. If they haven't started using it in the box then do the same but if they have then don't worry too much, they will do their best to sort it out.

I’ve only put it in today so am thinking of knocking up new frames and swapping them tomorrow for peace of mind.

Fair enough. Make sure you store foundation flat in a coolish place.

If you install foundation in a warm sunny room e.g. a greenhouse or conservatory the foundation will start to go soft very quickly and it goes out of shape. Better to leave the stack of foundation in a cooler room (or fridge?), and bring in out sheet by sheet as needed. Makes it a lot easier to fit in to the frame slots as well.

I think that was the problem. The hot weather has warped it while waiting for nuc. I have a stash in the cool so will make up some more. I think the cost of one day to them will outweigh the problems from stuck together frames and poor cells.
