Has anyone any experience of beekeeping in Spain, over wintering, feeding, temperament (I believe bad tempered), forage, etc. As far as the law goes on Beekeeping in Spain I have found plenty on the web, but not much about the practice of beekeeping and how different it is to the UK. :thanks:

"Google-searching" this forum (top left corner) for Spain turns up some info and maybe sources for more.

I have his book, which I find really good, but he is dealing with beekeeping in Britain. I have tried to find his email address, but no luck, to busy fighting manuka wars in New Zealand. Thanks for your replies.

Cramp has done at least three (slightly) different books. I think both the two I have seen mentioned Bears, Skunks and birds called Bee-Eaters ... which aren't normally encountered in the UK.

// PS His "field guide" is the one (that I know of) that I have not seen yet.

Spain's a big old country, they have a dairy area in green Galicia and you're almost in North Africa down south. My guess is beekeeping varies a bit from region to region.

Yes,

I have over 20 years practical experience of beekeeping in Spain.

If you send me an "Iberia" ticket and provide board and lodging, I'll be pleased to help you on site until the weather warms up in the UK..

hasta tiempo calliente....!

Thanks for all your 'help' please don't add anymore to this thread as it's a waste of time asking questions on here sometimes, you really need to weed out the good stuff from the crap. If I could be bothered finding out how to delete it, I would.
