Thanks to this wonderful new invention; the Bee Guardian. No chemicals, no batteries, no disturbing the bees and no clearing away the dead Varroa.

Not allowed to post links yet but go to e-bay and search for Bee Guardian.

Just looked at it, must be a con? was this out years ago or am i missing out on something amazing lol, i think not!!

You have tested it? Go on test it and tell the whole bee community your results. Until then it is in the realms of the 'honey tap on the hive' mob. Me? I'll wait for some credible results before joining in.

.
During years Guardian has quite many "Break Trough" news to kill varroa finally from globe. ...Our scientists are researching.... Even Austarlia which does not have varroa.

However, nothing can be seen in horizont.

I missed the bit about eBay and ended up here

I read this nugget from the link
"There is a light built into the roof that grows with intensity as the bees produce more heat at night. The bees' ability to keep the hive warm is a good indication that they are healthy. So this provides an indirect indication of colony welfare, whilst also drawing curiosity from people and helping create a connection and relationship."

The ebay unit has a different description and claims to use piezzo electric effects despite having no kind of input energy.

Sorry but in my opinion both fall into the crock of **** category. :nopity::beatdeadhorse5:

Neither of the two Bee Guardians mentioned so far has anything to do with The Guardian newspaper, Finman.

That makes no difference, who writes same hype. Fom year to year.

We say them summer news, when nothing happens.
Often origin was " Frog Doctor", who looked from frogs' legs, what is going to be in future. Some looked from spruce needle.
Now they are scientists.

Oh my ... just goes to show bees will live in just about anything that's warm and dry and about the right size ... Can't think who the natural beekeeping project in Sussex interested in re-introducing the AMM black bees might be ?

It seems that every university design course at present has at least one graduate trying to reinvent the beehive ... I think the first thing they should be teaching design students is the KISS principle.

So back to the OP then ...

He's sold 5 of them !! I think it will probably work as well as the electronic mouse and rat scarer I bought .. which got chewed up by a rat.

But I reckon the cement covered CD that I've been testing works better ...

Similar to plastic chicken houses that are apparently chicken mite resistant the bee varroa mite killer device possibly only works on plastic bee hives?

Nos da

Love the bit about the light growing in intensity !

So if I strap a Nuc to front if my car and put the beams on full.. I'll have no Varroa ??

Happy Days !! :D
