That, to me, sounds. the most obvious reason for mesh....never mind IPM

I do wonder if the heavily propolised mesh floors have mesh on the crownboard too and the bees are trying to prevent a through draught. I use OMF purely for the drop through of rubbish. In fact my bees seem to keep the mesh spotless and that's even with a very small entrance all year round.
