Please can you advise me. I have a swarm with an unmated Queen that issued from my Warre Hive yesterday. It is in a 5 frame nuc. There is a piece of mettle Queen excluder over the entrance. My thoughts are to feed and remove the QE piece on the third day. Will they stay and will she mate then?

I am assuming you have the QE on try and encourage them to stay?
If she is not mated I think I would give them a frame of brood to try and anchor them and not go anywhere near them with a QE, she needs to get out and mate!

48 hours should be fine, no guarantee that she will stay, especially in a nuc, and all though she should mate....again, no guarantees. Any chance you can put them in a bigger box with a frame of drawn comb? Would help maybe.

I took a cast swarm (missed 1 extra QC on one of my hives) yesterday and they almost literally RAN into the Poly Nuc!
It helps that I stole 2 frames from the original Nuc and then added 4 frames of foundation later (after I had fetch it).
When I was adding the frames of foundation I even found the Virgin Queen on the roof (inside) of the PolyNuc.

So depending on what frames you have put them on (foundation only?) I would say that generally swarms are very happy to stay in PolyNucs unless like I did you leave a prime swarm too long and after laying up all 6 frames they swarm again!!!
