Uniting Swarm

Afternoon,

Just back from the bees, and one was swarming when I arrived, very large amount of bees. I have managed to get them into a spare box.

I have a Q- hive, can I unite the swarm today, as i am running out of kit.

Has anyone used a vertical split board to do this job, as I no longer read a newspaper.

Air freshener will do it fine, I've united a swarm with Q- hive by removing a few frames to make a gap, spraying the gap & over the top bars, spraying the swarm in a box a couple of times tipping around between sprays, then tipping into the gap before gently adding the frames.
