I normally extract my honey straight into my large honey bucket that has the tap at the bottom and then jar from there 3 days later after using the famous cling film method to remove the scum. For reasons I won't bore you with I want to extract the last lot into a smaller bucket which doesn't have a tap.

My question is will I need to do the cling film thing twice? If I take the scum off the top then pour it into the large bucket with the tap can I extract it straight away?

The cling film will pull off any species of wax/bee bits etc. When you pour into your filling bucket all these bits plus some additional air will be introduced so you’ll need to let settle again - best to cling film, settle somewhere warm and then if required cling film for a 2nd time in my opinion.
