I did not missed the point, what ever it is....

They are all your things out there. Do not bark me .

He is only saying that there are idiots like this everywhere. We have to remain vigilant and challenge the faults in videos like this before other beginners repeat the same mistakes.
I don't think Swarm meant any disrespect to you or any of the other posters on this subject. We are all in complete agreement

Do not advice me then in every corner. But if it is in genes, then it must continue ...

It was my first post on the subject, just because you posted before me does not mean mine was a reply to yours. I was talking about the OP. Yet another stupid youtube video. There's loads of them and there will be more and no doubt there are idiots who don't post videos.

To be honest I don' think dog piling these types of videos achieves much. You only have to spend any time with groups that support the 'let the weak die' school of beekeeping to see that people migrate towards their own bias.

:iagree:
I'm afraid I was less polite than you were Richard. After a long drive back from Plymouth, I was tired and irritable. I wasn't in the mood to suffer fools gladly...and fools they were.

More you tube videos by searching for Ian Johnson beekeeping, you will see why he took a dislike to you and he is anti brother Adam. Looks like Ian and Ewan are the same person.

Can't watch the video but I won't be doing a shook swarm NOW lol it's too bloody cold.

I confess, the video disappeared completely after I posted a comment on it, I believe I was fair in my comment and didn't write with any condescending tone, I merely pointed out that to carry out this manipulation when they did was erroneous and I can see why it received negative comments.
Final straw perhaps?

Why do people fetishisize AMM?

People 'choose to keep' AMM for a number of reasons.

It would be interesting to know what the average honey production from an Amm colony was (or any other metric of performance). Then a sensible, informed, debate could be had rather than basing comments on emotional attachment.

OK. I've had over 130 Kg (~290 lbs...i.e.190% more) from my highest yielding test colonies for the last couple of years with average being about 73Kg (160 lbs.....i.e. 60% more). But is this a fair comparison? What else should they be compared on?
Obviously, a sample size of 1 from each race is not a valid comparison but, I'd be surprised if any A.m.m came anywhere near my A.m.c. Why? Because the A.m.m. colonies haven't had the same selective breeding interest that A.m.c has. You could ask why this is.

You should look on the BBKA FB site - there's some pompous idiots on there who not only think it's fine to do it right now but seem to think it's compulsory to do it annually!!
