have a web search... no single answer to the best ways or even exactly which problem to solve (least >6, lowest average etc) or which mode to do (hard/normal) but interesting approaches... No agreement over a best first move even.
Playing hard mode I spend quite a while early on checking/avoiding nasty traps might exist where 3 or 4 letters are known but still many solutions. These "trap" situations very often lead to over 6's...
