New method got a lucky start, but I'm not convinced it's worst cases are better than old method worst cases. So I think unlikely to get 6 or X with old method but there are a few words that could lock new method into 6/X-ing.
Still working on the scoring factors as it is interesting although the sure programming way is to evaluate the eventual outcomes of second and third etc turns (recursion) - I am trying to keep it interesting and less brute force.
Seems my interest is avoiding high scores 5,6,X rather than getting some low ones or a better average. The game is what you want it to be - one of the charms.
