Interestingly not even in the original answers set of the game, pre NYT.
At line 3 my normal methods came up "there is no word", had to go to a full dictionary of names and rubbish etc

I think yesterdays has sort of become adopted into US parlance. Interesting that it has been added to the original puzzle which was very cautious and careful to eliminate all words that might cause offence or be prejudicial etc. As I understand the f was always the rudest option, especially where officers were to blame.
