We've seen fledgeling long tails in the trees at the apiary. You can here them coming before you see them
We have Tawnies in the box in the garden. Both parents now spend the day in the beech at the back of the house. I guess there's no room for mum inside anymore.

It did - it was even better than when I found the unmarked queen in my double brooder earlier in the day!
 
That's beautiful, Poot. We had Long tailed **** nesting somewhere nearby, watching them collecting cobwebs was special. Gorgeous little birds.
They are so inoffensive compared to the good old house sparrow, which is also up there among my favourites 😀
 
Dazzling in purple! It’s not the best of photos but the bumble was clearly enjoying the Poppy.
