Hi Everyone
This question might have been answered.What is the minimum temperture you can open up your hive. before you start upsetting the girls. thanks.
 
depends what you mean by 'opening up'.....if it's just to add oxalic when broodless then it doesn't really matter as long as it is dry and not too windy and you're quick.

But if you want to do an inspection then the answer is really, you want it to be as warm as possible but if they are clustering you know it's too cold really to start doing that sort of thing.

Certainly where I am, the time for such things is over - unless it really was vital to the health of the colony that I did so........hope that's helpful.
