Possibly where a swarm has been previously and moved a few feet away!
I had a swarm stay for two weeks recently and they moved to several different locations within that two week period, but never more than a few meters at a time. When they got low enough i boxed them! Saves going oop ladder

What strain of bee are they? My angry ones have a bit of yellow like that to them on the 1st segment of the abdomen.
