I agree. I saw a single QC in a colony with an old queen, plenty of space - assumed supercedure & left alone. It swarmed.

Whilst I had been leaving them alone to get on with superceding they were building more QCs and soon left. Luckily I caught the swarm, but this time of the year is no time to be assuming supercedure IMO.
