Super of foundation...above or below existing supers?

Is it best to place a second super of just foundation above or below the existing super that is getting filled? Or is it best to mix up the frames from both.
 
As all the others have said I add foundation supers directly above the brood nest/boxes, particularly with foundation I think the closer to the more congested warmer part of the hive the better they have to cluster/beard to draw it after all.

Experience has shown what is good.

Do not put founfations between ready combs. Or at least you learn why.
 
Often or just about always?

Sometimes - if it's done in the middle of a good flow.
Had about sixty supers last year made up with every other frame foundation - I think they did this in about three of them
