I have made up some new super frames with foundation ready to add to the hives in the coming months. I intend to store them vertically in a cool workshop, are they at risk from wax moth? Or do the moths only go after drawn comb?
Any other suggestions for storage?

Moths can lay eggs on foundation and i have had them enter packets, chances are you should be fine though.

To be honest if you have the time I would just go ahead the chances of any real damage being done are slim. You can guarantee you won’t have the time when they are needed

I make all my frames up and tap one pin half way in the wedge and store them with out the foundation..the foundation is wrapped up in bags in a drawer in a cool room of the house..when i need more frames i put the sheets of wax in as and when i need them..

I have heard of wax moths destroying stored foundation in Australia.

I store made up frames with foundation on them in large clear plastic bags, with the tops of the bags wrapped with wire and the wire extending with a loop on it. I put 8 in a bag and hang them from the ceiling in the garage so vermin and moths can't get at them (the moths can't get into the bags and the rodents can't climb down the wire).

The wire I use is the stuff that is used to tie up trench mesh/rebar.

I store waxed frames in nucs in a shaded part of the garden - nearby for quick access. But a maximum of five only. I hold a stock of unwaxed frames and - using an electric nailer - can wax a super frame in under a minute and a jumbo Lang brood frame in approx 2 minutes.
So I have waxed frames for an emergency and more can be made up quickly.

I collected a swarm Tuesday and had to house on National frames.(I have a spare wax pack for such emergencies). Took approx 10 minutes including setting it all up - I hold frames in a vice/workmate when waxing..

could apply certan/b401 to them as a precaution ?

I make up all frames I think I will need over winter. Wax them all up at start of season and keep them in their boxes with ply top and bottom and ratchet straps round the lot. Never had a problem of moth or mice etc and bees readily take to them once introduced

Same here.

I store them in the boxes they are intended for and stack them up off the floor to prevent mice or rats trying to chew through, I also put a roof on top and on the bottom of the stack to prevent anything getting in. I've never had a problem with frames with foundation or drawn comb. If it cant get in it cant destroy them but if I did notice anything I would freeze the frames and then store them. Oh and cover the vents in the roofs. If you haven't got spare roofs yet then a sheet of wood will do under and over
