Still wasp problems in December?!

It's a blinkered attitude coming from the usual suspects, anyone who clutches their pearls over AH incursion should think a little harder - by indiscriminately killing wasps you are removing one of the main food competitors for Velutina, the fewer wasps, more pest species left to multiply giving AH an easy feed
 
In my first year I lost a colony to wasps. When I took the CB off the whole hive was just full of them. It was a sickening sight. Having learnt better management I have not had a wasp problem since. I endeavour to keep colonies strong, use good apiary hygiene and if they start sniffing round use appropriate entrances. Can't say I've cracked it though.
