Smart water might be a better option

I have put motorcycle DNA sprinkles in some of my hives ( not on the bees!!!)
revealed by UV light and has unique code number... came with my insurance policy for the bikes... also for the boat's outboard motor.
Easy to apply... but not sure if plod looks for them even if they do recover stolen items..... but for under £10 a bespoke stencil is cheap and easy peezy to use!
