It was a lovely day here today and so I took the lids off my three hives for the first time this year - two of the hives are solid full of bees and the third has a reasonable amount, so I am deilghted.
I over wintered my bees on a standard national brood box, with a super on top.....with the excluder removed. I noticed that in one hive the super is full of honey, the other hive super appear to be solid - it looks like sugar paste - probably from when I fed them last Autumn.
Do i need to do anything with this or should i just leave the bees to it?
Thanks
