Solar wax melter vs plastic foundation

I remembered too late that you're not supposed to put plastic foundation in a solar wax melter. I think these may be suitable for encouraging free style comb drawing. Only consolation is I didn't like the plastic foundation much anyway.

Anyone make metal foundation?
Not being able to melt them puts me off plastic foundation!

I was a bit worried that my solar wax melter might reach flash point so I covered it! It was so, so hot!
