For quick jobs I find corrugated card board easy to light and works fine with grass in the spout but it burns out quickly.

Some almost dry teabags and scrap bits of hessian on top lasts longer.

I use the wood shavings off my planer, it burns for a long time.

I use asda cat litter lasts ages but don't let cat use it first lol

I use the dried up husks from beech nuts as I get loads off a tree in the garden each summer.

Careful with teabags. Most of them aren't fully biodegradable because they contain strands of plastic. I'm not sure I'd want to waft any burning plastic into my bees.
