Your rat may be resistant to the bait you are using. Google should be able to tell you. In any case, it's probably worth switching bait, a change will usually finish the job.

Thank you. I think he may be gone now.....he was a monster compared with the others. I'll use something different for a while.

Over the years I have found that a bolus of lead administered at high velocity is as good a poison as possible. Neither do they seem to crawl away to die !!
