The Judges card on my local association honey show entry read 'This would have come first but was probably underweight' Unplaced .. I'd weighed it before entering ... contents 1 lb exactly ... weighed it again when I got home ... 15.9 Oz ....

Bugger - won't make that mistake again - I'll add the teaspoonful for the Judge !! :icon_204-2::winner1st: Morally I won ... But it's all a bit of fun for some of us ...

The comb cutters are messy and fiddly.

When I am up properly I will take a pic of my CC kit. Very simple and very easy to keep clean.

I think the old white containers with clear lids look a lot better and shows the cut comb off better.
IMHO the clear containers look awful.

IMHO a good piece of cut comb, cleanly cut, evenly built and drained properly is a thing of beauty, and best appreciated from "all sides".

....and I am given to believe they don't LEAK which is a not inconsiderable advantage to both the producer and consumer.

I don't think I'd trust the clear, "crystal" containers not to leak...though, of course, there shouldn't be any liquid honey to leak!

Honey bee suite finds that dental floss gives a very neat finish...

I would edit that to make it one of the smaller versions but can't see an edit button!

The link works anyway and can be zoomed in on!

Yes they are, when used to cut the comb. Not so if you use it to mark the capping and then cut along marks with hot knife. I have two, one a single and another a copper 4 cavity cutter. The single I leave in a pan of hot water. The other has a clothes iron attached which heats the copper cutter. Place the cutter on the comb and remove. Cut along the marks.

My time is committed this afternoon but I will take a pic of my cutting kit.
