could be larkspur -apparently it is the flower for July and denotes fickleness

Yes ... I thought that initially ... lots of it round my pond in bloom at present but mine is a bit more purple coloured than blue ? It's not Larkspur ...

no thinking, it is purple loosestrife. Good bee plant and favoured by white butterflies but not sure if honeys work it?
I have it round my wildlife ponds, not in flower for a few weeks yet but will be able to see if the HB's use it.

To enter back into the fray on a more serious note after my childish attempt at humour 
On looking closer at the photo I have that plant in my garden wildlife pond. Flowers if I recall correctly later in summer and was good for Bombus certainly.
