Painting Apidea Mini Nucs

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is recommended to paint Apidea Mini Nucs? The website blurb says they are a bee friendly colour, but I know with other poly hives you are recommended to paint.
I am tempted to paint them, but if anyone knows it would be appreciated.

This what I did with mine. Bit OTT perhaps...

Mine ( mostly Keilers) are a multitude of colours... Queen bees seem to find their way back to them OK.

Also have a few coloured discs on poles in the mating site so bees have something to orientate to!

Thanks, I have a few cans of masonry paint, job for tomorrow.

I paint mine in a lovely camo mix of green and brown.. Then paint the entrances with blue or yellow stripes /circles/rectangles..
