Even better wire a small square of ply to the underneath of your smoker..Does not intrude, weighs little.. no more holes in anything..

Make it bigg enough and it will help stop the smoker falling over as well

Perhaps with shaped cut outs so that it fits comfortably between my knees as recommended by all Master Beekeepers ?

You could also then fix a cussioned wooden plate on top - dual purpose
Stop your testeclays from roasting whilst at the same time having somewhere soft to rest them on

Nooooo .. silly me - just have a square of plywood that I move from one hive roof to the next with the smoker separate - never thought about attaching it to the smoker .... great idea !
