I've got a clearer board in and will be removing a couple of supers tomorrow.

A combo of work and weather perhaps means I'm a little late. There are quite a few areas of uncapped nectar but not a single drip when shaken. So I'm taking it tomorrow and will use the refractometer afterwards.

My current big concern is...

If I get it home, uncap the first 4 frames and find it won't spin out because the OSR is crystallised, what do I do? The capped I can store for autumn, partial stuff can go to weaker colonies...but the uncapped (cut off) stuff - is that wasted?

I put a feeder board over the hive, then an eek and then the uncapped osr.
The bees Rob it back into their hive, for some reason it doesn't go as solid on the second bee digestion so I take it off with the autumn crop.
That's what I do
