It is a while since I looked at top fruit sprays, but there are still a fair number registered. I made it over 450 products, although a lot use the same active ingredients.

I must admit I would be a bit wary of putting bees into a commercial orchard, there are a lot of fungicides and insecticides still being used.
 
Bit of a bump to this thread rather than creating a new one but I just wanted to see what the current opinion is of the forum users.

I'm seeking a new out apiary and was offered a spot in an Orchard. The lady I spoke to doesn't do the spraying but says generally orchards are sprayed from (Late?) April just before the blossom starts in beginning of May to sometime in July; she reckoned at least one of those times was insecticide which causes me concern.

From my talking to other beeks I've heard of some that have apiaries located within orchards and never close them up even during the insecticide and never have any problems.

Any thoughts?
