I would be very surprised if you had no interest from the Barnet beekeeping association. From the look of it generous prices.

hives/ nucs

hi there just wondered if you had sold your hives and nuc. I would be interested in the nuc ideally if not one of the hives
thanks
Jason

:sorry: ollie77 if you give your location as UK, the beeks on here are going to question whether you can collect and transport in a suitable time frame for the bees health. If you give a better vague location you may get more response, currently you could be in the highlands or even worse down here in the SW, because we don't exist.

Folks,
1 full colony and 1 overwintered nuc still available. Although nuc needs will need to go into a full brood box very shortly....

If you're going to lose the nuc if it isn't in a brood box could you combine the nuc with the full colony, or are their two queens and it would present problems. If you could combine them perhaps you could increase the price with the explanation of what you did.

 Are you really expecting an experienced beekeeper who is selling one full colony plus one overwintered nucleus colony that's ready to move into a full sized box (that's two boxes full of bees) should combine them - and then ask for more money for that single box of bees?

What would you suggest they do with the queen of the second colony? Where would she go, or do you think they should kill her because she's an unnecessary extra?

There must be something in the water they are drinking over in America

Still have the overwintered full colony (working on their first super). Happy to sell with or without the cedar hive. Patrick

If we have a meeting tomorrow weather depending I will mention it to our lot in West Herts.
