Bored the other night so decided to knock together a nuc box just in case I ever needed one. Made from a 2'x4' sheet of 18mm plywood, it holds 5 national frames, gave it a quick lick of plant and pet friendly paint. Took about 3 hours and cost me £10 to make (without the frames).
No dout ive done something wrong. :rules:

Hard to see an entrance but is there one very small hole there?
I probably would have ran the side pieces on the roof the full length myself.

Hi
13mm hole in the front entrance with a 13mm vent hole in the back. The side are just off cuts i put on, the diagram on the net didnt have side pices on, just the end bits.

Image looks great, even if a bit on the posh side. Dave Cushman at http://www.dave-cushman.net/bee/roger_nuc_box.html gives construction plans and recommends the entrance at 8 x 25mm. There are many other sites where plans can be surfed for, maybe elsewhere on this forum too. My nucs have a 9" or thereabouts roof box with sheet metal cover to provide a space for a rapid or contact feeder should one become desirable.
