North facing hive

All going well I will have my first hive going in the next 2-3 weeks.

Is there any issue facing the entrance northwards?

My chosen location will get midday sun all year but facing the entrance north would save the garden from the flight path of the bees as they return home.

I have all my hives in one of my apiaries facing north. I find it makes no difference at all.

Never had a noticeable issue with entrances facing to any particular point of the compass.
