Got a phone call from a local builder this morning, that was pulling a flat roof off and a ceiling down. He discovered that there was two bees colonies in either corner of the roof. Two hours later i had all the comb in a couple of buckets. As i removed all the comb i inspected it thoroughly for brood or eggs. One of the colonies had about 100 cells of freshly sealed pollen and cells were been polished up nearly ready for the queen to lay. So it's still not too late for your oxalic treatment. Unfortunally i could not save the bees because of time and the weather.

Great photo, Keith

....do you try and 'hive' those remaining bees?

(or just revert to Plan Z)
