Recycling is separating the waste back to its constituent raw material & reusing it.
Landfill, is NOT Recycling.

My mistake. I used the wrong word - but as we talked about 'rubbish bin' and 'dust cart' I would have thought that you'd realise that.

I don't suppose you are! :beatdeadhorse5:

As per Hivemaker: Paper + what? Latex + what? It's just gibberish.

Please don't bother answering.

:iagree:

also, anything that goes into landfill, which then degrades just simmers away creating all kinds of noxious substances which eventually find their way back into the environment.

It would appear that Local authorities are shipping their "Waste streams" out to the far east where it ends up in the sea!

They have found a nice little earner by (instead of recycling the waste),
loading it all onto cargo ships.
Ships that would be returning, (otherwise empty) to be reloaded with doubtful Chinese imports;
  • Designer lookalikes
  • Dangerous children's toys
  • Lead paint & other poisons banned in UK 40 years ago
  • Tax free FleaBay purchases

It shouldn't be a surprise if it all gets dumped in the sea once away from the country that's paid them to take it away.:sifone:

But to go back to the OP. If you have a farm supplies company around you then they sell milking gloves which have long cuffs. I buy them at about seven quid per hundred.

It's Like people offering to take your rubble away to the landfill for a price and then fly tip it!

But the local Authorities will prosecute you if you do. They, (much like the constabularies) can pretty much do as they please with impunity. :ohthedrama:

Your not wrong there... i got arrested several years ago and while in the back of the van on the way to the local station i noticed the driver of the Police van had no seat belt on..now if that was me i would have gotten a on the spot fine..cranks they are the lot of them.

I wouldn't say all,
there seems to be 3 main types;

  • Those who joined to get their own back on school bullies. Think they are now above the law.
If you challenge them the usual answer is "so what are you going to do, call the police? ? ?
    I am the Police!
  • Those who are happy to turn a blind eye to the ones listed above & probably the majority.
  • Proper coppers, (from my experience) probably the minority

I haven't included the salad dodging, doughnut munchers incapable of heaving their great bulk out of the motorway patrol car fast enough:gnorsi: to spot which direction the real criminals have disappeared in (let alone being able to give chase on foot without risking some sort of coronary incident).
We have on in the village, often seen stretching off outside the drunks in the pub after a short jog
(which doesn't seem to reduce the size of her glutinous maximus)!:smilielol5:

Ah, but these are traffic policemen - a different breed.
A bit like drones, they don't seem to have fathers
Having worked closely with all kinds of coppers over the years (mostly armed response teams and drug squad) I came to the conclusion years ago that even policemen hated traffic policemen, in fact, I noticed that in Gwent, even traffic policemen hated traffic policemen! :icon_204-2:

They're a difficult breed.

It's the lack of discipline that gets me and their unbelievable waste of budget.

Some patrol in HGVs looking for camera "evidence of breaches of the road traffic ac"t. They posted footage on the internet showing some idiot leaning up against the windscreen to see inside cars below, no seatbelt, not even sat in his seat.
Surely this would be mercilessly punished if they happened to observe the same behaviour in others?

I complained that the traffic copper a few doors away left an unmarked BMW outside her house with the engine running for quarter of an hour. Result firmly told to wind my neck in of face an ASBO for intimidation!

Film everything.

Film everything.

There's Home office recording equipment in all the vehicles, no need to film them, just difficult to find another copper willing to prosecute the law.

One thing that always gets my goat is when any of the three "Police officers" in our group of friends refer to wearing "civvies" (Dressed in civilian clothing)!
Police uniform is a CIVILIAN uniform, so what's the difference, surely the correct term would be "plain clothes"???????????????:banghead:

+ if they followed a more disciplined line they would catch more criminals be less likely to p!55 off the law abiding public? :winner1st:

Exactly why you should film everything independently, if honesty amongst the upholders of the law is in any doubt use your smart phone and arrange for clips to be instantly uploaded, even directly onto youtube or other mass communication device.
