17 ducklings and their Shell Duck parents wandering around the garden.

Did you know that shell duck is a misnomer based on a linguistic assumption :))) shellduck is a bit more correct, in the past it was sheldduck (or scheld duck) or more commonly sheldrake which I believe is of Celtic origin and meant pied or variegated.
Nothing to do with shells at all :D

Why do people insist on ruining a nice bit of duck meat by slathering it in oranges?

Bit of honey and a sprinkle of 5 spice powder is much better.
