Hi all,

Quick introduction -

I have been keeping bees in Southern Spain for about 12 years now. Looking after between 10 to 20 hives, harvesting honey, pollen and experimenting with queen rearing.

Decided last year to up my game to about 40 hives. And about 20 late season nucs to over winter...... Came out of winter only having lost 2 hives !! Result!

Again this year looking to continue expanding - I have just performed flyback splits on my 10 strongest hives.

Looking forward to chatting and learning with the people on this forum.

I hear a lot about problems in Northern Spain, but in the south here haven't heard of any problems yet..... I've heard they like the humidity - and here where I am it's very very dry most of the time.
