You will get plenty of advice on this forum, some conflicting, much by other relative newbies and some just plain wrong. It would be better if you find a local beekeeping association or another beeker in your general area and seek advice there before going anywhere else - or even get a book or two. Ted Hughes "Guide to Bees and Honey" would be agood start.

I prefer Ted Hooper's book myself even though his grip of the Lambic pantameter is a bit tenuous
