As we intend to go away for a long period this summer, we are selling our inventory of populated beehives and nucs. All hives have local dark bees from good stock :

1 National with double brood and 2 supers
1 National with 2 supers
1 National with 1 super
1 National - recent split
1 Nuc - recent split
1 Nuc - split a couple of weeks ago

We have had a bit of swarming so most queens are 2011.

Located Bishops Castle / Craven Arms area

How much are you looking for?

I am a badly injured science and PE teacher who is not allowed to go into the classroom for health and safety reasons, and i can’t do much, and i have been considering taking up bee keeping for some time, and i was guided to this forum by a friend who keeps bee's. When will you be travelling and how much are you looking for 'outfit'.

Fullsuper isalmost certainly the commercial operator with many, many more than 3 hives and flogs them, nucs and honey all over the place including an outdoor market stall in the centre of Shrewsbury. He had an advert in the last Beecraft too. Just a comment!!!!

Thanks Arfermo.
If it is the same guy he will be banned from the forum.
Looking at previous posts the guys name is Keith?

Is Keith a pseudonym I wonder or might he be an agent for John King? John King is who I have in mind and he lives/works in Church Stretton which not many inches from where Keith(?) is supposed to be.

Interesting. I'm a frequent visitor to Shrewsbury and I haven't come across this stall before.

Is it in the market hall?

Had a friend bought from this guy. (Don't know if it is the starter of the thread) near Shrewsbury. He had no experience of bees but just went for a look, got sold an old brood and supers, hives in crap condition full of bees with old queen. He said 'what do I do with them' and he was told to take them home pull the foam out of the entrance and run for it. They would look after themselves.
Took them home and they swarmed into his roof ....
It took me all last year and this spring to get the hive into a condition where we could actually use it and now he is a keen beekeeper but it could have gone SO wrong! We should be able to outlaw people who sell bees like this. It should be an offence to sell bees to someone with no experience!!

Well, I've had no reply to my PM anyway.
Anyone else?

If it is who has been suggested then I too have had some prior experience of him but would not really want to discuss it on the open forum. It may not be the same guy, and he deserves the right of reply if it is.

Hmmm... according to his profile, "Last Activity: 31st May 2011 05:55 PM", which I think was when they last logged on. He won't have read his PMs, although if you really want to get hold of him he appears to have left his phone number on a previous thread!

I have it on good authority that the gentleman is Keith, his intentions for selling were truthful, and he has sold all the colonies.
