Put a swarm box up in garden last week and yesterday a swarm arrived what is the best procedure to rehive and move swarm
Regards paul

how big is the swarm prime or cast, I use a nuc until queen is mated and laying then move in to a brood then feed.

but my nucs takes upto 7 frames.

It's a prime swarm.should I just tip bee,s from swarm box in to nyc?.would it be best to do it late in the day?.
Thanks Paul

Depends really on how big the swarm was and how big the box is. If there is a mis-match with more bees than box, they are likely to abscond.

Likely by now the flying bees (that might be all of them!) have orientated to the location, so the normal rules of moving a colony apply.

Having no further information on what your 'swarm box' might have been, the rest is up to you. Common sense just needs to prevail, here.
