Mouldy Wax

I currently have two carrier bags full of capping that have gone black mouldy ... can i do anything with it before i bin it..

Render the wax. It would be a waste otherwise. The mould is on residual honey not wax.

Get it melted. Wax will be fine...it's just mold on honey

Thanks for that..can i give it another wash and stick a smaller pan with a bit of water in a big pan of water on the gas cooker.. also the water here is very hard does that matter when meting wax..

I had the same problem with one batch. Washed the small bit of mould off as I caught it early. Make sure it is bone dry before storing.

Tap waters just fine only rain water if your planning to show the stuff and doubt there’s a class for x mouldy stuff
