Mistake of the week!

Moved a nuc from my mating apiary to my production apiary (other side of the garden!) forgetting that one of the colonies that was left (and which I expected to host the flyers) was a weak Apidea. RIP HMQ. WHAT was I thinking?

I've never felt that it is right to clip a queens wings, so don't do it

I thought this way for many years.
Then three years back I decided to give it a go.
I was suprised how easy it was to achieve.
The Queen didn't appear bothered by the procedure.
